Too Small
The pads themselves are probably not bad they are just too small. Wanted more shoulder coverage.

These are good minimalist shoulder pads for an adult. They are a great quality youth pad with fantastic lightweight cover/protection over sternum/heart for the paranoid dad willing to spend too much on equipment for kids.
Fits great, true to size. Comfortable and doesn’t ride up or slip in anyway while moving.
Light, incredible protection, cooler so don''t overheat ... So comfortable for the fist time done even feel like I am wearing shoulder pads.
For reference I''m about 6''1 190lbs, I got the large and it fits fine. The flexible foam really does bend with you, it''s not rigid at all. The materials and construction seem to be on par with what you would expect from these pads. They are extremely minimal and lightweight, through they breath poorly like nearly every other pad in my opinion.I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I feel it''s still a little lacking at it''s current price point. At the time of this review I paid $159.99 and for that I want near perfect. I would have preferred to see a little more optional capped shoulder protection. I do like the included bicep protection but I''m not a fan of the spandex-like 'strap'; It''s about 2in wide and non-adjustable. I don''t have the biggest biceps on the market and the spandexy strap is still tight on my arm (I push it almost to the top of my muscle making my shooting shirt awkward). The torso straps are okay, they come loose during play through I haven''t had a set I didn''t have to tape up (I prefer my pads a little tighter). I will point out though the pads don''t ride up on my torso the way many do during play.Overall I''m not by any means disappointed, these aren''t bad. If you were looking for something a bit cheaper, I would look at the Cell III''s, they are just as good.
