Great for First timers
Use it to practice with my 6-year-old. It's a little bouncy but it had more weight than a tennis ball. I'm comfortable throwing this ball his way.

SportStop was easy to order from, their prices were great and the selection was the best.
We love the Soft Sponge Practice Lacrosse Ball because we can teach our campers lacrosse without having to wear helmets and pads in the summer heat. It is safe and realistic enough to be able to teach the basics to beginners as well as play with those who are a bit more advanced.
Every time I order from SportStop, it is always a perfect experience. Regarding these practice balls, we use them to play box lacrosse in our school gym. They''re great because they won''t cause any damage indoors, all of our guys are willing to jump in and play goalie because they don''t hurt like a real ball when they hit an exposed part of the body, and they''re the exact same size as a real ball. They are a little bit lighter, but that just means our players are forced to develop softer hands, so it works kind of like a reverse medicine ball. When we get back outside with real balls, we can tell their passing and catching skills have increased dramatically. One quick note: I feel like this can''t be true, but the orange balls seem to feel slightly heavier than the pink balls. A couple of our coaches noticed this as well and brought it up without me saying anything. Either way, these practice balls are the best alternative to real lacrosse balls for us, and we''ll always buy them from SportStop. Keep up the great work, guys!
They are a little Too Bouncy and pretty lite.
