    It works

Efficient, yet bulky on the shoulders and the side straps dig into the side. If you want a cheap (price wise) set of pads, this will do you well.

    Starter with Room To Grow!

I would give a slight nod to the Warrior Tempo Elite and Warrior Rabil Next for having adjustable/removable upper arm pads. The Next even has additional padding on the side straps, so I''d put the Next at the top of the list. I''d put the Charger above the Brine Uprising II and the STX Stinger distant last. The X-SMALL was a 'perfect' fit (but had no room to grow) for my just-turned-7-yr-old (4''4' - 53lbs, tall and skinny). So, I went with the SMALL which still fits great, but now has room to grow. As a one-off piece, only 4 stars because I think the Rabil Next is the best in class. However, as part of a starter kit, I find the Maverik Charger to be even with the Next as the best starter set out there.
