The end of the shaft, where the heads throat insert would insert into the shaft, is hollowed out to allow it to fit (like the opening of a metal shaft). The normal Epoch Dragonfly C30 has a "foam" filling that makes the fit you are looking for complicated. This No Foam version solves that problem.
