Epoch does this by adding an additional layer of a highly engineered, proprietary material to the outer surface of the shaft. During the manufacturing process this material is heated, causing it to become integral to the carbon fiber layup. SVT acts as an additional layer of protection, by helping to prevent micro fractures, increasing the longevity of your Dragonfly Eight.

So far so good

It seems the only gripe anyone is going to have with a composite shaft is that it shattered after x number of times being used. So far so good in that regard! The only other observation is this: in exchange for the durability, it is quite a bit heavier than I expected. Most any metal/allow D-pole is lighter, but they''re also dented and bent after a season. This is not.
