    Design Change

    We replaced a broken Ascent shaft with the new updated version. Just an FYI the handle is 3/4" but at the head it is the standard 7/8". This may not be an issue for some but for those that cut their shafts down, I was only comfortable cutting 1.5" off before the bottom of the head ran into the tapper of the shaft. Anything more than that the bottom of the head would have an air gap. This will potentially cause shaft to head movement creating the potential for the head to become loose and possibly come off. From what my daughter tells me this is how the top manufacture's are designing their shafts now.

    Other than that change this is another phenomenal shaft by Maverick. There is a light texture on the shaft for added grip when palms get sweaty or playing in the rain. We are big fans of the integrated butt end on the Maverick shafts. Also the composite carbon fiber material they use makes the shaft feather light yet very strong and durable!
