The Scorpion Genysis shaft is the most technically advanced shaft on the market. Using patented Exogrid technology (see below for more information), and a proprietary Scandium infused 7000 series aluminum, the Scorpion Genysis is the strongest aluminum shaft currently on the market. The Genysis is the pinnacle of engineered performance, with machined side walls and fused composite material to the inside of the shaft, creating added strength without sacrificing weight.

EXOGRID TECHNOLOGY:
Exogrid is a patented technology that Scorpion has licensed exclusively from from Vyatek Sports, that combines the best attributes of advanced composites with those of traditional metals. Exogrid structures start with a base metal (such as aluminum or titanium) structure that then has a major portion of the surface area removed through advanced machining techniques, such as laser machining. The resulting lightweight metal shell is then fused (using the Vyatek patented Bi/Fusion Technology) with an advanced composite inner structure molded during a secondary process using elevated temperature and pressure. Exogrid Technology is particularly well suited for lacrosse shafts where lightweight and high-stiffness/strength are critical, as well as providing a vibration dampening quality to the shaft.
