My 3rd grader has already torn both gloves at the thumb after a year with these gloves. (Quite frankly, I just noticed, they could have been torn for some time.) Granted, I got them at a very good price, but if I'm to believe that these were $126 in 2013, I'd expect better durability from them.Pros:
I'm not looking at these as $30-$40 gloves, but as $120 gloves bought at a deep discount because my son isn't concerned about wearing this year's model (yet) and I'm looking to save money where I can. In either case, I'd like to get two seasons out of a pair of gloves while my son's still 9.
As a comparison, his super cheap Maverik Charger gloves that he wore for two years (Fall, Spring, and year-round Club) still don't have a tear in them. Now these are $30 gloves (when not in a starter package) that I'd expect to perform like $30 gloves.
