Crux Number Three

by - verified purchaser From ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA
This is by far the best lacrosse head I have ever owned. And yes, I have tried out the Crux 10 and 500. Nothing beats the original. It has improved my game significantly. It is lightweight, has easy ball control, an awesome scoop for ground balls, and I find the ball can get to the "sweet spot" easily. I can make a very deep pocket on my crux without it being illegal. I love everything about this head! I recommend stringing this with the runway pocket and pairing it with the Harrow Title XI shaft, but that is based on personal preference. Purchase a Crux, you won't regret it. I am ordering my third one from SportStop right now!
Pros:
Thin sidewalls allow for a deep pocket Great ball control Lightweight Scoop allows for easy ground balls When strung well, able to get the ball to the "sweet spot" quickly and easily.
Cons:
None! (Although not recommended for a beginner)

I love this head!

by - verified purchaser From STEAMBOAT, CO
A well-crafted head - a great choice!
Pros:
The tip of the head is angled so I don't have to bend down very far to get the ball scooped up - which is important to do fast and come up running with the ball, and this head enables me to do it so much faster. The head itself is extremely light, you barely feel it on your stick which is good because it's hard to run fast when you're weighed down. It's pretty thin, so it's not as durable as, for instance, the Amonte series, which is thick but twice as heavy. It will hold up for stick checks, but be a little careful because if you push it super hard, the head could break (but overall pretty good durability). Passing is a little different then with other heads; you might have to release a little earlier so you don't throw straight into the ground, so quick passes are a breeze. I can really launch the ball with this stick, farther than with any others I've tried. Has an amazing hold on the ball, so it stays in your stick so well! Nice sweet spot, can adjust the Runway pocket to make it wherever you want!
Cons:
I absolutely love this head, but I have to say, NOT FOR BEGINNERS! I would get your basics down before you use this stick as it is important for you to remember to bend your knees when you scoop, and this head could give you bad habits.

This head has improved my game so much! I play low defence and even though this head is for attack, the head is sturdy enough so you can get a good check. I am trying out attack this year and just by practicing on goal my shot has improved in speed and accuracy. I would recommend this head to anyone on the field playing any posistion at any skill level. Never going to switch out this head, it's so awesome!
Pros:
The extreme scoop makes it easier to get ground balls The Runway Pocket stretches as you need it It's sturdy The ball is always in the sweet spot The head allows a good release when passing and shooting
Cons:
Nothing!!!!!!!
