Manufacturer Description

15mm diamond size - still the standard 10 diamonds across as the traditional player mesh pieces.

Pre-packaged Marc Mesh stringing kits include:

  • One Piece of Mesh
  • Five 28" White Shooting Strings
  • Eight Feet of White Sidewall String

No longer are we going to hear tales of this so-called perfect combination of hard and soft mesh. This is the mesh that even has die hard "traditional" Lacrosse players switching.

Marc Leveille has formulated a unique chemistry known as Mesh Butter. It begins as a wax base solution that is mixed, cooked, churned, and then set until a butter-like substance is formed. It is then spread from corner to corner over a top quality 6.6 nylon 100% American made mesh.

The primary reason that people choose the Marc Mesh is for its superior performance and dependability. Marc Mesh is ready to go today, tomorrow and the big game; rain or shine.

The biggest difference between Marc Mesh and the regular urethane coated "hard" mesh is this: urethane is meant to coat ropes with a thin, non-porous layer that keeps water out. It is designed not to break down. When it finally does, little cracks form in the shell defeating the urethane's original purpose of weatherproofing the mesh. Mesh Butter on the other hand quickly breaks into tiny fragments that allow the mesh to quickly form a pocket. Rather than coating the outside, Mesh Butter is applied right into the fibers of the Nylon; hence water has no place to go.

Key Features:

  • Mesh Butter has a quick break in time (1 hour or less)

  • Mesh Butter gives the mesh a unique memory that customizes the mesh to your very own signature catching and throwing style

  • Mesh Butter increases a mesh's typical lifespan

  • Mesh Butter grips the ball providing added friction giving you a capability to spin the ball when taking a rip

  • Mesh butter makes mesh 4x more resistant to water. The key is preventing bag-out.

  • Mimics a traditional pocket better than any other mesh

austin - ohio - 5/2/2010

Not to my liking

Things I Liked:

Great marketing plan with the butter added

Things to Improve:

When it got wet, it seemed to convert to an extremely soft mesh. Did not hold up at all.

Full Review:

May be good for someone to wants to mess with it but I don't recommend it for younger players.

Jason - Artwohl - 5/5/2010

This mesh is awesome

Things I Liked:

-Break in period of <1 hour
-Soft mesh so catching is easy
-More hold than any other 10D mesh due to larger diamond size
-Water proof, this is a truely bad weather mesh

Things to Improve:

If it could be alittle bit harder, more people would buy it, but I love the mesh how it is. Not an issue against the mesh, but a new hybrid could be looked into.

Full Review:

This mesh is a soft mesh, not like worn in semi-hard, SOFT mesh with a twist. It retains its shape well and has a consistent release like hard mesh, but catching is effortless. I find passes that I should drop are latched onto by this mesh. I like a fair amount of whip and rolled shooters still offer a whippy shot but a smoother pass. It's worth a try unless you dislike whip.

Grippy
eas break in
Great sidewal and shooters

Things to Improve:

price

Full Review:

Honestly this mesh is just as good as advetised. However, it will not string exactly like a regular piece of 15 mm hard mesh. thats not a bad thing... just understand you will have to tweat your regular pattern. even though i mention the price as a thing to improve it is actually kind of reasonable. if the marc mesh lasts you 2 seasons then you have effectively broke even.

Best Mesh made

Things I Liked:

Minimal break in period. String it and go. Double the cost of other meshes but lasts double the time.

Things to Improve:

None

Full Review:

If your looking for a mesh that you can string and play the next day this is it. Worth the extra dollars.

Marc Mesh

Things I Liked:

The speed of shipping and receipt of product . Amazed in how Marc Mesh is broke in almost instantly. It has improved my son's both shooting and stick skills.

Things to Improve:

Although a bit pricey, it has been worth every cent.

Full Review:

Has held up well in the rain.

Marc Mesh

Things I Liked:

broke in super fast, handles amazing

Things to Improve:

needs to be a little stiffer

Full Review:

great overall, worth the cost

jake - Connecticut - 11/18/2011

Great Mesh

Things I Liked:

Broken in from the moment you open it. Lots of string is included in kit.

Things to Improve:

Very difficult to string. Maybe if it kept its stiffness for slightly longer it would be easier to handle.

Full Review:

Overall great product.

Dylan Farrell - Exeter, NH - 2/16/2012

Great mesh

Things I Liked:

great hold compared to other mesh (same stringing). great feel. Catching is a breeze. I find that it is easier to fine-tune my pocket when using this mesh. Favorite. shooters. period. I could weave socks with them. their lo-profile-ness is quite simply amazing. Don't bunch. lay flat. And plenty of them. Yes. Good stuff.

Things to Improve:

have bclax stringing kits with colored mesh. Granted, other Mesh kits may have good quality strings/shooters, but i serously dig the bclax shooters.

Full Review:

After a few months, It rained and This mesh got full of mud. Um... Dont try to power wash the Mud out with a garden hose. I Guess i washed out some of the wax. Afterwards it became really inconsistent- weird hold, stretching, passing differently, etc. bagging out and whipping when wet- when previously, it didn't. Find a better way! I just got some fresh mesh, and its just as amazing as the first time.
