i mean, i play defense and these little attackem always slashed me on the helmet and i didnt feel anythig, buuutttt i blocked a shot at practice and i got a concussion sooo idk about the protection

My head is more round than oval, and I am right at the limit of the size (M/L to 23 1/8" max). As a result, there was room at the top of the helmet, and it contacted the top 'corners' of my skull. It fit a friend's head just fine, and would probably fit most people quite well.
