Do yourself a favor...Do Not Buy this throat guard

by - verified purchaser From ORLANDO, FL
Overall, this thing protects about as well as a wall made of sand. the first time i used it, it went shot, gust of wind, throat guard flips up, and pop..sidelined for two weeks. DO NOT BUY THIS THROAT GUARD!! get one of the U-shaped Cascades
Pros:
mmmmm.....nothing
Cons:
EVERYTHING. from the cheap plastic, the low protection area, and the HORRIBLY ANNOYING flapping in the wind.

Quick and easy

by - verified purchaser From NORTH ST. PAUL, MN
My regular goalies prefer to have the clear one that attaches to the helmet.
Pros:
Inexpensive for a extra throat guard for our team in case we quickly need to sub in a goalie or we need some one to jump in goal for practice. Quickly switched from one helmet to another.
Cons:

Goalie Throat Guard

by - verified purchaser From GIG HARBOR, WA
5-star to the product.
Pros:
Solid Protection for a decent price. This guard works well for my 3rd/4th grade team as it allows us to have the players not change their helmets when we switch goalies.
Cons:
None

Decent

by - verified purchaser From BIRMINGHAM, AL
It is inexpensive, easy to attach, and transferable, but it does not offer protection to all of the frontal neck that is exposed during goalie play. The guard is designed for a lower-tier cascade helmet that is more squarish. With the Pro 7 helmet, this guard leaves considerable open space to the sides which can be shot at. I have a neck injury that I received taking a shot (squared up, in position) from a high school player. The ball struck straight into the front-left part of my neck, not covered by this guard.
Pros:
It's durable and inexpensive
Cons:
The tie-on strings degrade with weather It offers incomplete protection It is hard to avoid rattling
