Great Protection at a Great Price

by From DFW, TX
Got these for my 9-yr old son as he plays middie and attack and needed additional arm protection now that he is playing against some 10-yr-olds and practicing at times against kids as old as 11 and these are light-years better than what came with his starter package.

As full guards, they extend further up and down the arm from the elbow. The elbow has a hard internal cap for added protection. Despite the added size, the pad is very flexible around your arms and is also broken into 3 sections to not interfere with arm mobility.

The strap system is excellent because it has 3 "passive" straps that are perforated and very comfortable on the skin as well as adjustable velcro straps at the top and bottom of the pad. The inner straps increase comfort and ensure the pad is in place and the outer straps let you dial in the fit. Additionally, the liner has rubberized graphics to further prevent the pads from slipping down.

After a fall and spring season and year-round club lacrosse, my son has not taken a shot to the arms that has hurt him. So, I'd say these guards did their job!
Pros:
- Hard-Elbow Cap
- Protection
- Coverage
- Straps
- Comfort
Cons:
- White gets dirty too easily, but that's all exposed gear in white.
- Would have loved to have these in the same gray that is used on the outer mesh piece.
