Manufacturer Description

Easton's re-engineered TALON BEAST Wood Composite is now 20% LIGHTER and impact tested as the STRONGEST defensive shaft in the game. If you're going for an authentic wood feel and explosive force, getting back to the original roots of the game, then this shaft will deliver on defense.

Lighter and stronger means you can generate more SPEED for passing on the run, and some punishing checks when you're defending.

Wood Composite shafts are hands down the most natural feeling in the game of Lacrosse and are known to be the shaft of choice in the coldest weather conditions. The traditional octagon grip has the familiar feel and our Kanuga grip will fit to your top hand, facilitating proper throwing and shooting mechanics.

Awesome, this thing is a tank.

Things I Liked:

Weight, Feel, Strength, Shape.

Things to Improve:

Nothing.

Full Review:

This thing is a tank, I've made some serious checks with this that most of my old shafts would break doing. The only sign of use is scuffs to the wood veneer, but hey, who doesn't want some sort of battle scars? This shaft has a great weight to it, there's enough there so the attacker will think twice before driving to/through you when you're toting this bad boy. However, it's not so heavy that it feels like your arms are noodles. All in all this is a great shaft worth having. Also, easton takes care of their customers with a nice warranty if anything does happen to your Beast.

Excellent

Things I Liked:

Strong, doesn't appear to bend as easily as the titanium....

Things to Improve:

Not sure, my son likes the weight...He feels like he has more control...

Full Review:

It has no bends yet...I hope this is his first shaft that will make it through the entire season....

Fantastic

Things I Liked:

It feels like a genuine solid stick that wont bend or break on you for a lifetime. It is just something you need to hold in your hands to experience.

Things to Improve:

The end cap, I have owned Talons before and I really dislike any end cap except Talon claw end caps, this is my personal preference, but if they put TALON BEAST on the stick it should have a Talon end cap (Thankfully I have my own to put on there!)

Full Review:

Great stick, and is really solid to pack a solid check behind it for some good play!

The EASTON Beast

Things I Liked:

This is probably the best defensive shaft you could buy. Coming from an experience defender I have held many other shafts before but this is by far the best. It has a natural wood grip, it's not to sticky so you can still twist and do moves but enough so when its raining it doesn't slide around in your hands. If you wanna be a boss of a defender who frightens people then get this shaft because when people see what looks like would about to be swung at them they are scared out of their minds. Also the weight is actually beneficial it gives you the power you really need (its not monstrously heavy its the perfect weight to feel like something is their). And if you bang this shaft against any other its not gonna break, its the strongest shaft in the game way stronger than Titanium.

Things to Improve:

Nothing (oh the walnut is a lot darker than the picture which i like but some might not, and the hickory is a lot lighter)

Full Review:

Buy it, you won't regret it. And the end cap it comes with perfectly conforms to your hand, its the best end cap i have ever used. Overall if you wanna be a beast of defender buy the EASTON Talon Beast.

Bad ass stick

Things I Liked:

The feel of the wood is amazing. I already broke an attackmens stick the first game I used it. I was use to heavier sticks, so the weight was not a problem. Nice strong stick that will strike fear in your opponent. Went to check a guys stick when he was going for a groundball and nailed him on the leg. He left to the bench after we took the ball back. You will lay the lumber down on these guys.

Things to Improve:

Unlike metal sticks that will get a bent in it when you stick check people. With this the wood starts to come up and can cause splinters.

Full Review:

Buy it.

THE BEAST IT BEAST!

Things I Liked:

Feel, flex, weight, etc.

Things to Improve:

nothing

Full Review:

Absolutely the best shaft I've owned. At first it seems very skinny and delicate, but it is anything but! One slap in the arm will strike fear and pain in your opponent. Its amazing how strong it is, this will dent/brake metal and leave only a small scratch on the Beast. If you want to up your game, build muscle(the weight) strike fear, and dominate, this is the shaft for you.I decided to buy this over the Warrior Ti. shaft and it hasn't let me down plus you get a good warranty!

Best Long Pole Ever!!

Things I Liked:

Everything. The wood feeling is amazing, you don't have to waste yards of tape to get a pretty strong grip on the shaft, the weight is AMAZING!! Is you manage to get comfortable with this shaft after a couple of matches attackmen start to fear you and avoid contact! Every check is so punishing for them i almost feel sorry.

Things to Improve:

Reinforce the wood cover, after some rough contacts the wood starts to come up and cause splinters

Full Review:

My record so far is a lot of aluminium and composite shaft dented and a STX sc-ti broken in half...a must buy for a Long Pole

Best shaft ive ever had

Things I Liked:

Very strong- constantly get people telling me not to hit so hard

Things to Improve:

The wood at the top of the shaft has cracked, because i throw quite a few checks with that- but its taped over now and the crack hasnt spread any further

Full Review:

Amazing shaft- powerful and easy to control despite the weight, my speed checking with it has improved (im now even faster with a lighter metal shaft) and now i dont even notice the weight. The stick is amust buy for defenders that like to check hard!

Matthew tatton - Manchester UK - 2/1/2013

Great shaft

Things I Liked:

It's a nice weighty shaft that gives you considerable force behind each check. The feel of the shaft is much better than any painted metal shaft, plenty of control. And it look beastly. Also it is lighter than a full wooden shafts

Things to Improve:

It would always be nice for the price to be lower but considering the quality you are getting for the price this is a steal.

Full Review:

Awesome shaft definitely a must have, it helps if you are a larger kid to put a little extra power behind each check I'm 6'4" 250. My smaller friends say it weights to much but I feel comfortable with it.
