Classic!

by From BRADENTON, FL
The Edge is a great, classic defense head. Nothing fancy or high profile, just a work horse. Easy to string to meet the new shooting string rules; easy to rig a variety of pocket styles from mesh to traditional leathers.

But most importantly, a very stiff head for craving up attacks with nasty poke checks and a great head angle for scooping ground balls with a long d-pole. No matter your level of play, defensemen can't go wrong with the Edge!
Pros:
Stiff frame
Hole placement for any stringing style
Slots for leathers
Great head angle for long pole ground balls
Priced right
Cons:
Can't think of any for this type head at this price.

Brine Edge is fantastic

by From WASHINGTON, D.C.
I really like the brine edge for a defender, being a defender myself I needed a really strong reliable head and this is one of the best If you aren't trying to go broke.
Pros:
I like the stiffness and the ability to customize the pocket because of the many sidewall holes it has, The brine edge is an all around great defensive head but it is also a great attack head. I like how it was very cheap and I didn't go broke after buying this.
Cons:
There's not that many things to improve because it is already great. Probably the only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have a second screw so it kind of rattled whenever I threw or shook my stick.

Best All Around Head

by From PALM BEACH, FL
This is the best all around head you can get right now. They have barely changed anything about this head and it has been around since the 80's. Theres a reason why Mikey Powell used it in college as well as whatever defender that was guarding him. Durable, decent weight, wide enough pinch that you dont worry about legality but not wide enough where it cant hold a good pocket. Stiff and dependable, dont get any other head unless you faceoff or are a goalie.
Pros:
durability, stiffness, width, stringing holes, scoop
Cons:
none

Great all around Head

by - verified purchaser From EL DORADO HILLS,CA
awesome price for such good lacrosse head. I'm going to buy a couple more before Brine discontinues them
Pros:
good stiff head. Good for LSM or defense. It's not as wide as a STX Hammer. I also feel it has one of the best scoops for ground balls. It's just a great all around classic lacrosse head.
Cons:
Nothing.

Brine Edge X

by - verified purchaser From NY
None
Pros:
Stiff head. great for ground ballsetc. I go in hard playing D and this head holds up the best. Had a Brine Clutch 2 and it cracked after two games. I returned it and got another Edge as a backup head.
Cons:
Can lose shape. Left one in the trunk of car with by kit bag on top of it one hot summer day, and the head totally warped. As other commented - put titanium rods in and it would be indestructable.
