The UPS truck was late (snow?), but Sportstop and UPS kept us apprised and the delivery was only a day late. Kudos to Sportstop and UPS.
Pros:
Ordered the wrong size and Sportstop gave us an RMA number immediately and we re-ordered the correct size. The return and re-order was handled professionally and courteously.
Cons:
Nothing

Best of the Starter Packages (Pads Only)

by - verified purchaser From PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL
My ranking of Starter packages: 1) Maverik Charger 2) Warrior Tempo 3) Brine Uprising II 4) STX Stinger (last on this by far). I first ordered the X-SMALL for all pads and the XX-SMALL CPV for my just-turned-7-yr-old (4'4" - 53lbs, tall and skinny) only to find out the pads were too small (mostly the elbow pads and gloves) and the helmet was too big. Exchanged for size SMALL for all pads and the CS helmet and they fit perfectly.
Pros:
GLOVES: Only ones with floating cuffs (extra protection) CHEST PROTECTOR: Has extra sternum pad (extra protection).
Cons:
Minor nit-picks: Lower cuff of elbow guard should be a little more "elastic" like the upper cuff is. The upper bicep pads could be adjustable/removable as they are on the Warrior Tempo Elite. Could add mesh to the palms of the gloves (as w/Warrior and STX starter gloves), but not if that means less durability.

Maverick Charger Starter Kit

by - verified purchaser From FORT COLLINS, CO
Probably sufficient padding for younger age group, ie 6-9 yrs, but not for older age groups. Had to buy better equipment for my 13 year old that is in his 1st year.
Pros:
Shoulder pads had decent padding for starter set Look good
Cons:
Elbow pads were small, thin padding and insufficient to really protect aggressive checking Gloves were very thin, and flimsy
