Starter with Room To Grow!

by - verified purchaser From PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL
I would give a slight nod to the Warrior Tempo Elite and Warrior Rabil Next for having adjustable/removable upper arm pads. The Next even has additional padding on the side straps, so I'd put the Next at the top of the list. I'd put the Charger above the Brine Uprising II and the STX Stinger distant last. The X-SMALL was a "perfect" fit (but had no room to grow) for my just-turned-7-yr-old (4'4" - 53lbs, tall and skinny). So, I went with the SMALL which still fits great, but now has room to grow. As a one-off piece, only 4 stars because I think the Rabil Next is the best in class. However, as part of a starter kit, I find the Maverik Charger to be even with the Next as the best starter set out there.
Pros:
Extra sternum pad (not found on the STX Stinger). Neck Padding (not found on STX Stinger, Brine Uprising II, or Warrior Tempo Elite)
Cons:
Adjustable/Removable bicep pads (like the Warrior Tempo Elite has).
