How's it going out there, everybody? This is Trice for SportStop.com and today I'm going to take a moment, get down and dirty with you guys on the Gen. 6 Dragonfly F30 iQ5 Attack Lacrosse Shaft from Epoch Lacrosse. Let's go ahead and check out some of these details and break down what makes this shaft its monster at the X. All right guys, so right here I've got your Gen. 6 Dragonfly F30 iQ5 Attack Lacrosse Shaft from Epoch Lacrosse. I'm going to go ahead and get this tossed up on the scale let you guys take a look at the numbers and then we're going to break down the details. Let's go ahead and make this happen. My scale tossed up here, mind you it has its end cap on it, but with an end cap the F30 comes in 5.9 ounces. 5.9, it's going to be a nice weight for this shaft. This is a battle tested shaft so you know it going to have to have some strength on it. So get up here at the top, work my way down, get this nice and focused for you first and then we're going to break down the details. So as you can see right here, this is again an F. What does the F stand for? It's the shape of the shaft. But if I show you the shape of shaft this way, it doesn't quite do it justice. F is for face-off and that face-off comes from right here on the shaft. Get this focused for you. This part of the shaft, as you can see here's your octagon here, and then the octagon you can see in the light goes away. Right here at this green section, that's what Epoch is calling the MotoGrip. This is for face-offs. So with it being for face-offs, you're going to be trying to wrench the ball out of there at the X as quick as you can and any kind of advantages is going to work to your advantage. So with this MotoGrip, that gives you a great amount of pressure and torque on that shaft as the whistle goes and you're battling at the X. As we move down, you are going to notice that Dragonfly here in black outlined in lime green on the gray background. There's the fast disappearing for you on that Motogrip right there you can see it in the light. As well as seeing that in the light, you can also notice the grit on the grip. That's the slip grip that's on this shaft, and it's really nice. It's going to give you a lot of stopping power be it in hot, cold, rain, shine it doesn't matter. Bare hands, gloved hands, it's a very responsive shaft and your hands are going to stop right where you need them to. As you move down, you've got the end. Everybody loves the big green E end cap from Epoch Lacrosse. It's got a nice lip on there so again your hands are going to stop right where you need them to. And when I flip this guy over, lists the technologies on the shaft, so you got Gen 6, F 30, torque box. Torque Box is new for Gen. 6 and what Torque Box is, really quick, is Epoch is manipulating particular layers of the carbon fiber in key locations on the shaft, really looking at increasing the strength in the center of the shaft. Mainly from just above your bottom hand up towards the top. And what that does is that when you shoot on your shaft or pass on your shaft, it has natural flex in it. And you only want the flex to go in one direction and that's the direction of the head of the shaft. With the Torque Box, they're able to cut out any side to side flex and only give you that true flex that you're looking for. The reload technology is the same as that in the iQ, not iQ, but the Gen. 5 and then your iQ flex scale here. This is only available in an iQ5 so it's a right about in the middle of the road as far as flex is concerned. But if the number were higher, it'd be softer and if it were lower it would be stiffer shaft. But that is your basic overview on your Gen. 6 Dragonfly F30 iQ5 Attack Lacrosse Shaft from Epoch Lacrosse. Go ahead and check this out at SportStop.com and guys I really appreciate you watching. Thank you very much.
