by - verified purchaser From ORLANDO, FL
Overall this is a great product but buy clear, not black
Pros:
Solid protection; low profile; great looks (clear only black is ugly); no annoying flapping or noise
Cons:
Difficult to attach to most helmets

Has saved me before

by - verified purchaser From LUBBOCK TX
this is my second, new helmet new protector. The black matches my school colors so thats great. The attachement hardware (helmet side) needs to be updated. Im sure with todays new manufactuing they can find a solution to how it attaches to the helmet. Thats why I gave it 4 stars. It gets 5 stars for protection
Pros:
up and down float so it does not end up out of place. protection matches Cascade helmets
Cons:
need to update attachment hardware on helmet side.

Throat Protector

by - verified purchaser From GRAND FORKS, ND
The throat protector does its job and isn't distracting when you turn your head like the tie on variety. However, you will have to drill holes in your helmet to attach the throat guard, which is kind of a pain.
Pros:
small, doesn't flap around when you turn your head
Cons:
installation involves drilling holes

Hard to get off if you play other positions

by - verified purchaser From SAN ANTONIO TX
Agree with the other comments about looks, but it is fine if you have a black helmet.
Pros:
Looks good, nice that it doesn't blow up in your face on a windy day. Great protection.
Cons:
If you use your helmet to play any other position, you won't be able to take it off conveniently.

by - verified purchaser From FLORIDA
great!
Pros:
much better then the tie-on one. very easy to move in and has lots of protection. If you are thinking about buying the tie-on one, don't.
Cons:
hard to screw into cascade helmets, but worth it

Cascade Throat Gaurd

by - verified purchaser From OHIO
It offers great protection for your neck, but it takes a bit to get it hooked up to your helmet. You will need a drill, a 7/32 drill bit, a ruler, a Philip head screw driver, and a marker to install it. Also it best if you have a cascade helmet.
Pros:
Protection
Cons:
N/A
