I've been using this glove for a year and I have already broken my hand twice in it. The back of the hand protection just isn't there for the high school level shots
Pros:
Good thumb protection
Cons:
The back of the hand protection is non-existent

If it is thumb protection you need, this is currently the best.
Pros:
The Brine Superlight gives maximum thumb protection. My son had a badly bruised right thumb from a scrimmage. He was able to get back in goal with these gloves. The color variety was an added plus.
Cons:
Someday someone will create a lightweight goalie glove with max thumb protection, reasonable longevity, and some thumb flexibility.

After two Broken thumbs using STX's goalie gloves, I decided to give brine a go. The thumb is protected extremely well, but you can't move it. Took some getting used to, but overall didn't make much of a difference. I would definitely recommend these gloves. Try look awesome in person!!!
Pros:
Thumb protection
Cons:
Thumb mobility

The first time I got hit in the thumb I hardly felt a thing I would recommend you get these gloves
Pros:
The thumb protection, and the breathability
Cons:
Nothing really except the thumb mobility
