A great Value

Things I Liked:

A great price. Tilting feature.

Things to Improve:

A bit hard to assemble

Full Review:

After cracking our garage with the lacrosse ball, I made my two boys ages 10

lacrosse mom - Seattle, WA - 7/10/2009

good product

Things I Liked:

great for my son to practice alone

Things to Improve:

none

Full Review:

overall a great product, my son now has something that won't break to throw his ball against

Maria - NJ - 7/10/2009

Good but not perfect.

Things I Liked:

Great for my son to practice alone. He spends hours on that thing nearly every day. It's nice and stable, doesnt' even need the anchors when used in grass. It's also pretty springy which gives good ball return.

Things to Improve:

Need a little bit better instructions. The tubing, which the instructions cover are easy enough to assemble. The elastic bands, however, are another story altogether. They are tough to get on and require you to partially disassemble the tubing to get them on. Also, do not, I repeat, do not drag this thing across the concrete, gravel, etc. My son did and two of the elastic bands are now DOA and acouple of others are abraded pretty badly. A few extra bands in the kit would also be nice.

Full Review:

After repairing a window ($150) from my son practicing against the side of the house, the price for this item is pretty reasonable.

B. Neal - Newnan, Ga - 7/16/2009

Full Review:

Good overall value - recommend purchase.

Excellent trainer

Things I Liked:

My son gets a lot of use of this and really helps him practice

Things to Improve:

Full Review:

excellent deal

Lisa - Rochester NY - 11/30/2009

Great, but tricky to assemble

Things I Liked:

The price was good for the quality of the product.

Things to Improve:

The "instructions" were a simple diagram with not written directions. If my husband had not been able to figure out how to assemble the thing, there is no way I would have gotten it together. The elastic bands were very difficult to get onto the tubing.

Full Review:

Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Once we managed to get it together (which took about an hour) it worked great. My 3 kids have spent hours practicing with it.

Theresa - Virginia - 12/8/2009

Great, but difficult to assemble

Things I Liked:

My son loves it!

Things to Improve:

The directions and picture were different from the one that i received. The elastic bands were very hard to get on the tubes and we ended up cutting our fingers. Some tips would have been helpful!

Full Review:

Overall pleased with product, just wish it was easier to put together.

Cheryl - Pennsylvania - 3/31/2010

valuable purchase

Things I Liked:

works great

Things to Improve:

elastic attachments hard to put on

Full Review:

The STX pitchback was a valuable purchase. It went together easily and my 8 and 12 year olds were able to get most of it assembled. The elastic attachments are difficult to get on, but given the quality of the finished product, it was worth the struggle. The pitchback works well and has provided my 6 kids with hours of training in only the first weeks of possession. I recommend this commercial grade product to anyone looking for a training device.

Steve - Guilford, CT - 5/13/2010

Works great...

Things I Liked:

Price and the quality.

Things to Improve:

Again, the elastic attachments are very difficult to put on.

Full Review:

This is a great buy.

lacrosse mom - Caifornia - 5/17/2010

Lacrosse Dad

Things I Liked:

Good construction. My son started working with it immediately and the "pop" that it provided was terrific.

What I like most is the ability to practice catching passes and ground balls with the same setting (you don't have to adjust the backstop - use the lower section for passing and the upper section for ground balls). Light weight after assembly.

I also like the fact that two people can use it from opposite sides at the same time.

Things to Improve:

The directions need to be clearer. There is no indication that you should loop the elastic bands on the tubes before assembly (guess I should have figured that out but I was just following the illustrations). I assembled it and then had to take it apart again in order to get the elastic bands on.

Full Review:

I read from others here that putting the net on is the most difficult part. That is true. My suggestion to any one putting this together is to put it on with the help of another person. My son and I teamed up on it and had it done in no time. But, if I was attempting it on my own it would have been much more difficult.

This is GREAT for the price!

Chris Hamilton - Ashburn, VA - 5/17/2010

STX Double Sided Lacrosse Training Rebounder

Things I Liked:

Works very well. Is very stable.

Things to Improve:

The directions STINK! You need a doctorate to figure out what parts go where. We finally got frustrated and used plastic tie-downs instead of the rubber band style tie-downs that it came with and you need to be the Incredible Hulk to put on!

Full Review:

Get some detailed directions and someone tell some of your tips/best bets for how to assemble this thing.

Phil P - San Diego, CA - 5/18/2010

STX Double Sided Lacrosse Training Rebounder

Things I Liked:

My son says it's great.

Things to Improve:

Hard to put together; hard to move once it's put together....clips will break if dragged across cement or any other hard surface.

Full Review:

After it was put together, we are told by the lacrosse players in the family that it is great; rebounds well and they like the way you can change the shape. All in all for the value, it was well worth it.

AM - Erie, PA - 5/28/2010

STX Double Sided Lacrosse Training Rebounder

Things I Liked:

Great for working on hand eye coordination.

Things to Improve:

The instructions for putting it together are worthless. After a few times of putting it together, we finally got it right!! Elastic clips are hard to put on. Difficult to move or put away, the clips break if dragged across the cement.

Full Review:

Despite the challenges of putting it together, it is a very good rebounder.

Liaminator - Maryland - 5/31/2010

LAX Dad - Long Island, NY - 6/9/2010

Dbl Sided Rebounder Review

Things I Liked:

Price was good. Works well

Things to Improve:

Instructions are minimal.

Full Review:

Put the elastic rings on first before you assemble the frame.

ken - Tustin, CA - 6/17/2010

parent

Things I Liked:

My son loves it! Says it works better than anything else he's tried.

Things to Improve:

instructions need to tell you to put the loops on all of the poles first, then assemble it.

Full Review:

fortunately, I had read some previous comments and knew to put the loops on first, so putting it together wasn't that hard.

Loree - Winston Salem, NC - 10/19/2010

Parent

Things I Liked:

Easy to put together, lighter than expected. My daughter loves it, able to adjust the angle by herself.

Things to Improve:

An added sheed of instructions. Lableing how many hooks go on each section (ie accross the top, sides, bottom, etc). We used the photo on the shipping box as a templete, had the frame put together b4 realizing we had a different rebounder! Used the pic of ours in the mag. that came with it to adjust the hooks.

Full Review:

The elastic rings need to be put on the tubing b4 assembly. We figured out by having one person hold half of the ring with their thumbs, and the other person roll the rest of the ring over the other side with thier thumbs it goes ALOT faster.

Rodger - Columbus, OH - 11/8/2010

Nice Product...

Things I Liked:

Versatile, lightweight, well-priced. Easy to adjust rebounding angles.

Things to Improve:

The instructions are essentially worthless, and the product pictured on the box is apparently an older product. Other than the tube assembly directions, you may as well throw the direction sheet away.

Full Review:

Make sure you install the net bungee loops before assembling the tube frame, and slide them over the smaller ends of the tubes. Takes two people to assemble, and with common sense should take 30 mins or so to put together. Once complete, it is a great product, very versatile for two people to throw against or do drills. My son likes it better than the larger (and more expensive) trampoline-style rebounders . Seems to be a good value.

DHS - South Carolina Lowcountry 12/19/10 - 12/19/2010

STX Rebounder

Things I Liked:

Works great... kids love. Can be used for both lacrosse and baseball.

Things to Improve:

The instructions are pitiful. I have rarely seen anything claiming to be instructions to be so lacking in help or direction. The loops which hold the hooks need to be uniform length -- some barely fit over the tubing -- requiring a real struggle.

Full Review:

Once assembled, this is a great product/value. The instructions were awful and not even a mention of having to get the stretchy loops over the frame!

David AvRutick - Charleston SC - 1/3/2011

Tip for putting on bands

Things I Liked:

I like the quality of the product. It is strong and sturdy

Things to Improve:

I wish it could fold down for easier storage. The instructions are a joke

Full Review:

My twelve year old son and I put it together. I used the photo on the box to figure out the placement of the bands. Of course the photo on the box was not of the rebounder in the box, but it was good enough. I slipped the band over a flat head screwdriver, and put the screwdriver agains one side of the tube. Then I used locking pliers to grab the hook on the band to stretch it open. That technique allowed me to "woman-handle" the bands on the tubes. My son used another pair of pliers to pull the hooks around the tubing. There are four flat metal bands that came in the parts packet of the rebounder. I still have no clue what they are for. If anyone knows, please advise.

Lacrosse Mom - Suwanee, GA - 1/22/2011

Great Product

Things I Liked:

My son loved it from the start (and neighbors w/ the trampoline rebounder are envious of his!). Very good quality.

Things to Improve:

As reviewed elsewhere - the directions are terrible. We used the recommendations from earlier reviews - Thanks!! My husband & I used the pics on the box. One of the bands snapped while we were putting it on, but there are a bunch of them so far so good!

Full Review:

To the Suwanee mom - the metal bands are for the inside of the poles - they are the locking mechanisms (you'd see if you could look inside the tubes before assembling). My husband figured out it.

Another Lax Mom - Birmingham, AL - 3/5/2011

Great Product

Things I Liked:

easy to put together, just make sure you slide the bungees on before you put the pipes together. Both my son and daughter love it.

Things to Improve:

Like everyone else the instructions are good for putting together the pipes, but that's it.

Full Review:

Read the reviews to get good tips.

Joe C. - Long island, NY - 3/27/2011

Great Rebounder

Things I Liked:

Good quality solid frame strong netting folds down for storage

Things to Improve:

directions

Full Review:

My 15 year old throws the lacrosse ball really hard! This rebounder takes it like it's nothing! Seems like it can handle his pounding - which is what we needed.

lacrossemom - Pittsburgh, PA - 3/29/2011

Excellent

Things I Liked:

Very sturdy, nice quality, double sided, price, kids love it.

Things to Improve:

none.

Full Review:

My kids love this rebounder, and spend hours a day using it. I like the fact they can use it at the same time since it's double sided. I did warn my husband about the lack of directions based on previous reviews, but he had no problem putting it together.

mom of 4 - Franklin MA - 4/11/2011

Great Site. Great Product. Super Fast Shipping.

Things I Liked:

I recieved the product within a week after purchasing. The product is awesome. Exactly what I expected

Things to Improve:

Only downfall is storing it. Doesn't really collapse unless you wanna take some of it apart, so it take up a lot space.

Full Review:

If using this on concrete or pavement Be sure to tape or cover the bungees that are in contact with the ground because they will wear down fast and break.

Randy - Buffalo - 5/1/2011

STX Double Sided Rebounder

Things I Liked:

Good quality, solid frame. Easy to move. Great price.

Things to Improve:

As others have mentioned, the instructions are laughable...completely worthless. Would be great if rebounder could fold flat, as it is difficult to store.

Full Review:

Overall this is a really great product....very sturdy, and works well. When assembling, be sure to put the elastic bands on before assembling the pipes. The bands are extremely tight and difficult to stretch around the pipes. We used screwdrivers to pull them, as a previous reviewer recommended. Use the photo on the box to determine approximate placement of the bands. Other than the lack of instructions, this is an awesome product!

Carson & Jacob - Tampa, FL - 6/2/2011

Things I Liked:

Things to Improve:

Full Review:

Not sure about the quality yet b/c of the premature rusting...

erinmc - maine - 7/3/2011

You said it

Things I Liked:

It's great now that it's set up...but setting it up was quite something. I loved the Ouija Board-style directions. And those random leftover metal things are a mystery. Best advice from this site was "put the bungees on the tubes first." Thank you!!!

Things to Improve:

The directions. The directions. The directions.

Full Review:

4 stars

Jeanettte Nazarian - Catonsville - 7/4/2011

Great buy

Things I Liked:

Price Sturdiness/durability Simplicity of assembly

Things to Improve:

The bottom pipes should have feet - as currently designed, the elastic bands touch the ground which subjects them to too much wear and tear

Full Review:

Despite poor instructions, the unit is easy to put together My kids love it Unbeatable for the price

Michael - Bethel, CT - 7/7/2011

Review

Things I Liked:

The price and that it is double sided.

Things to Improve:

The tubing to go together square but this does not effect the performance

Full Review:

My kids really liked this product. I liked the price and that it's full netting all the way to the ground and not just the top. I would recommend this product.

Jim Fell - Annandale, VA - 7/13/2011

STX Rebounder

Things I Liked:

The finished product is terrific.... really nice...and effective....works very well!!

Things to Improve:

Putting it together is a nightmare...lol and STX is no help what so ever!! lol Directions are a joke and a complete waste of time....and the directions online arent a whole lot better!!

Full Review:

buy it...its a good product....just make sure you have plenty of beer in the fridge while you're putting it together.....'cause you're gonna need it!!!

BJ - Indian Wells CA - 7/21/2011

Instruction were pitiful

Things I Liked:

Good unit once it's set up. Good deal for the price.

Things to Improve:

Hooks to hold it in the ground could be better....but not bad enough not to recommend the product. Don't drag on cement ground as bands can't take it...but I found unit was light enough to carry off the ground. Come on with the instructions already!

Full Review:

As everyone says.. the instructions were terrible. Put on the bands before you connect the sections of pipe. I was able to put it together by myself in probably 15 - 20 minutes. Women may have a harder time putting the bands on, so it might taken them longer as they do require strength. Sturdy system for backyard use. The lacrosse payer in the family likes it...no more trips to the park for "wall ball'.

Great product

Things I Liked:

Works great for my 14-yr-old son. So happy he isn't rebounding off of the house anymore (near my car) Great quality product for the price!!

Things to Improve:

Instructions could be better, although my son did assemble it himself with the help of his cousin. Stakes need to be longer to hold it in the ground.

Full Review:

I would definitely recommend buying this product.

Colleen - Charlotte, NC - 12/27/2011

great product

Things I Liked:

I was hesitant to purchase this item after reading about how hard it was to set up. However, my hubby had NO problems whatsoever and it is fantastic! My son and daughter both love practice lacrosse with it...and even kicked the soccer ball around with it too. Wonderful value!

Things to Improve:

Doesn't collapse so hard to store.

What's all the fuss?

Things I Liked:

My 13 yr old put it together without any help...and he didn't know about the past problems with poor instructions, etc. Very solid construction. Sturdy. Great "bounce back" action. My Lax player loves this training aid.

Things to Improve:

Protection for the elastic bands, especially on the bottoms that rest on the ground. Ability to fold for storage.

Full Review:

Great value. I have seen enormous improvements in my players eye-hand coordination and opposite hand passing and catching. Light weight but can take a punch. A great value at 100.00.

M. Bailey - Northern VA - 1/30/2012

Good for the beginner

Things I Liked:

This rebounder was much more inexpensive than the much larger ones and worked great for my 11 year old beginner.

Things to Improve:

The bungees were hard to move and it is a little light.

Full Review:

I think it is a great way to great your lacrosse player started. We will probably get the much larger and much more expensive one in the future, but for now this one works great.
