Better than expected
Things I Liked:
Heavy duty steel. Pre-mounted guides on lines. Quick installation, about an hour.
Things to Improve:
I added my own zip lines that run the length of the top and bottom to stop the top from drooping in between the poles and to hold the bottom down from blowing in the wind.
Full Review:
I was pleasantly suprised when putting the net up in the back yard. The "heavy duty" steel poles are truly heavy duty along with heavy duty steel stakes. Plenty of stakes and rope with the pre-mounted guides so you can simply pull the lines tight. Hopefully three or four years from now I will be able to buy the replacement net at SportStop. Not disappointed at all.

Not Bad
Things I Liked:
Sturdy, easy to install, pre-rigged guide lines
Things to Improve:
Reinforced areas where the net attaches to the top of the poles
Full Review:
Much better at stopping balls than I expected. I will be interested to see how long the net will last. So far so good!
Dave - Sherrills Ford, NC - 7/10/2009
awesome
Things I Liked:
the takes are long enough that the wont come out of the ground.
Things to Improve:
the net needs to be stacked to the ground so balls dont hit the bottom and go under.
Full Review:
its the best backstop i have seen.

Net rips
Things I Liked:
Large area covered stops balls
Things to Improve:
Net rips way too easily
Full Review:
I put this up in front of some woods in my backyard, after a week I've still managed to loose 20 balls ( Some still get by the net, weather you hit post and the ball flys up or you rip a hole through the net or it goes under the net ). Had to go cut down a path through the woods to get the balls back.

Just what we needed!
Things I Liked:
Quick assembly under an hour
Extra parts was nice
Made with good quality parts
Things to Improve:
I could see how the balls may go under net but it will slow them down so your not chasing them all over.
Full Review:
Easy to assemble and it's just what was described on the web. It saves all the high shots and my son loves it. Great buy for the money compared to other websites. Will buy from Sportshop again.

Easy to assemble
Things I Liked:
Backstop net was easy to assemble, took less than 30 minutes with the help of my 14 yr old lacrosse player. Poles and support are sturdy and have survived a couple of spring wind storms
Things to Improve:
netting could be improved, have 1 small whole after 3 weeks of use.
Full Review:
not bad overall value for the money, net is much larger than I thought and it does a good job of stopping errant shots

As Expected
Things I Liked:
Extra parts were great.
It's really well constructed and designed.
It shipped almost immediately and arrived within three days of ordering.
Things to Improve:
Instructions. Based on earlier reviews I let my 12 year old try to put it up alone. Suffice it to say I had to take over. The directions could definitely be improved.
Full Review:
I wish they sold the net in black so it wasn't so visible. We used tent stakes on the bottom so no issues with balls going under.

never again

Things to Improve:
missing eye hooks and net rips on backstop, goal net also

Good Quality
Things I Liked:
Overall ease of assemply.
Things to Improve:
Ground stakes should be longer.
Full Review:
Assembly is not too difficult, especially if you have some help. I had to purchase eight 12" tent stakes and cord to add support to the 4 poles. The ground in my area is a little on the softer side. It's working fine now with the additional supports. I also purchased a dozen tent stakes to prevent balls from going under the next - as done by another reviewer.

Small Problems Only
Things I Liked:
1. Good coverage for bad shots. Fairly easy to set up. Pretty much works as advertised.
2. SPORTSTOP shipped the product very quickly.
3. My kids (and kids from the neighborhood) are much more serious now about practicing their shots.
Things to Improve:
1. Bottom of net should be staked down so it does not let ground balls through, and so the bottom of the net does not flip up over the middle zip line on a high shot. 2. Top of net needs a zip line to keep it from sagging (especially middle net) 3. As noted in earlier reviews both of these problems can be fixed by owners.

Seems like a good value to me. 4 to 5 stars.

Not so good
Things I Liked:
Does its job and is fairly easy to assemble
Things to Improve:
After a week I ripens 10 holes up to 6 inches in diameter. Netting is very weak and with so many holes it's almost useless
Full Review:
Ok if you don't shoot over 80mph
Mark - Glens falls, ny - 7/14/2012
brine 10x30 backstop
Things I Liked:
stops alot of shots saves time looking for balls and saves money on balls
Things to Improve:
Strength.....on the first week there was a very light rain storm which caused two pole two fall. If you shoot and hit poles they fall. Stakes on poles are very weak and i had to get cinder blocks to keep the poles from falling down.
Full Review:
saves balls but needs longer, stronger stakes
will - raleigh, nc - 8/21/2012
Good with limitations
Things I Liked:
It was very easy to assemble, especially with 2 people. It covers a wide area and stops lacrosse balls coming at moderate speeds easily.
Things to Improve:
There really should be an extra set of lines and stakes for each pole so that it has support from all sides. We had to buy extras and attach separately. Also, the top of the net sags A LOT, especially after rain. There should have been a support line running all the way through the top of the net and attached to ground stakes at the ends to hold it up. We are going to see if we can do this ourselves as well.
Full Review:
Great for kids and preteens. Might not be strong enough for high schoolers.
